Randy
Randy is a 5-year-old rescue who was found abandoned on a train platform and was lucky not to have gotten onto the tracks. He was taken to the shelter, and we had a request to help him. He was extremely scared and did not do well in the shelter environment. The shelter tagged him as a 7-year-old “senior”…so between that and being timid, there was little hope of him exiting the shelter. Then while in the shelter he contracted an upper respiratory infection, and his story likely would have ended there… but we couldn’t let that happen?
So, we pulled him, and he has turned into a charmer who is absolutely loving all the attention he has been getting. Our vet thinks he is younger than was noted at the shelter and probably closer to 5 years old. When he was brought to the shelter his hair was matted and disgustingly dirty, he was shaved at the shelter but not actually bathed, leaving his skin very irritated. Other than that, he got a clean bill of health and the vet said he looks very healthy!!!
His personality is sure coming out and we think he is adorable. Some of the things we have learned about him is that cats are a no as are large dogs, however, he loves all the small dogs in his foster family. He loves toys and belly rubs. He is full of energy, very smart and is so excited about his new life. He is a mature dog who is going to make someone a wonderful companion.
